Managing VPS server without a control panel software
Many hosting companies offer VPS accounts without a control panel software like cPanel and WHM.
The reason is the reduction in hosting price as cPanel and WHM are paid software.
While such un-managed hosting accounts are useful for Linux gurus, but they can also be used by regular users with the help of free server management software.
Webmin/Virtualmin:
Webmin is an easy to install and easy to use management software, Virtualmin is installed on top of Webmin that makes managing a private web hosting account very easy.
If you have yum support in your VPS server account, then you can simply type in the installation command for Webmin and Virtualmin and it will do the rest.
ISPConfig
ISPConfig is a comparatively less user friendly software and it lets you easily manage domains, email, FTP, DNS and databases through a GUI interface.
ISPConfig also supports reseller accounts.
Web-CP
Web-CP is a small and less-resource intensive software that offers DNS management, web server services management, database management among other features.
Web-CP also offers re-seller accounts option.
